A lot of my original paintings are done with acrylic on canvas and reflect the colourful scenery of New Zealand. I like to paint in a stylistic, vibrant style using bold colours, shapes and forms and to sometimes slightly distort the forms and exaggerate the colours to achieve quirky, animated images. Another of my favourite techniques is using dried paint skins which I cut into shapes and use as a collage style.
I love the bright, exaggerated colours and shapes I can create when the paint is dried and peeled off the palette. Watch this space as I continue to experiment with techniques and mediums.
